EXPERIENCE INNOVATION
Discontinuous Innovation Lab
Sponsored by the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) and driven by an international network of researchers, this initiative is currently run in parallel in Germany, Denmark and the UK. In 2007 France, Sweden and Australia joined the initiative as well. In addition, there is strong interest from managers and researchers from Norway, Finland, Italy, and Switzerland to replicate the study in their respective countries.
Prototyping with Playtools
Creating tangible prototypes is an extremely valuable practice. It proves to be even more valuable to communicate intangible concepts, ideas, services or frameworks. Together with our partners from unternehmerTUM we explore the creation of prototypes for the development of new strategies, superior service innovations or leadership practices. Don't hesitate to join our workshops, where we develop prototypes with basic "technologies" like rubber gum or LEGO or advanced prototyping platforms, tools and technologies.
Experiencing Services – Join the CLIC Service Innovation Journey
Services in Germany are better than their reputation. We would like you to join us on a special journey through Germany during which you will have the opportunity to meet innovation champions who impressively show
Germany’s success in shaping service science and developing the service sector.
Our first destination is Munich Airport – a departure point of many journeys as well as an innovation partner of the TU Munich. We would be delighted if you would join us on our journey. [contact]
Creating the Ability to Innovate in German SMEs
Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are at the core of Germany's economy. Innovation research, however, has so far mainly targeted large multi-nationals or the extreme of newly founded micro-businesses. To explore, understand and foster the innovation potential of German SMEs is therefore the core challenge of this joint research initiative that spans across a network of academic partners across Germany. Key goals of our joint efforts are to provide a sound analysis of the current state of the art, to provide concepts for the matching and qualification of individual innovation insiders, and to design promising development approaches for corporate innovators and innovation networks.
Fostering the Ability for Discontinuous Innovation
Knowledge about how organizations can cope with disruptive changes by discontinuous innovation are crucial for the creation of a firm's strategic ability to innovate. Funded by the IHK Leipzig we work with a carefully selected group of innovators and business leaders, to better understand what makes SMEs superior innovators in terms of discontinuous innovations.
Developing Hybrid Innovation Strategies
Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) the SPRINT project consortium strives to explore the systematic design of product-service bundles as an overall innovation strategy for the healthcare, wellness and fitness sector. Exploratory case research will help us better understand the methods, models and tools that today’s innovators use within the design process. The piloting of a “personal health coach” will provide us with additional first-hand insight from field research.
